Writing the Short Play - A Workshop with Candace Perry

In this three hour workshop, we’ll look at examples of successful short plays, perform in-class exercises, and begin writing plays that cut to the chase without sacrificing character, content or conflict. Open to experienced as well as beginning playwrights, the class has only one requirement: the desire to write a play.
I've taught “Writing the Short Play” on the Cape and in New Orleans, La. More than twenty of my short plays have been produced in numerous venues, three have been selected for inclusion in the Boston Theater Marathon of Ten Minute Plays, and two have been finalists in the prestigious Actors’ Theatre of Louisville Ten Minute Play Contest.
